    Michael Joseph Kelly was born on May 22, , in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to an Italian-Irish family.

    He has a brother named Andrew and two sisters, Shannon and Casey.

    Growing up in the Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville, young Michael initially aspired to become a lawyer and enrolled in the University of South Carolina's law school.
